Wear Properties and Microstructures of the Laser Synthese Ceramics Reinforced Composite Coatings on Titanium

Abstract: In this study, the Al/Mg powders were firstly used to improve the wear resistance of titanium by mean of the laser cladding technique, which owned a great potential in the field of the surface modifications of the metals. Laser cladding of the Mg/Al+TiN pre-placed powders on pure Ti can form the TiN reinforced composite coatings.
