Wear and Corrosion Resistance of CoCrFeNiSiMoW Medium-Entropy Alloy Coatings on Q235 Steel

Abstract: CoCrFeNiSiMoW medium-entropy alloy coatings (MEACs) were fabricated by plasma-arc surfacing welding on Q235 steel. The microstructures and mechanical properties of CoCrFeNiSiMoW MEACs were studied. CoCrFeNiSiMoW MEACs are made from a mixture of NiCrCoMo cubic (FCC) solid solution phase, (Fe, Ni), Mo1.24Ni0.76, and CoCx phases by XRD analysis.
