“…In retrospect, we can see that this influential study suffered from several methodological problems related to statistical analysis and reporting practice for harm-related data (9). The most serious systematic error was that data for the total number of patients with central lesions included in the study were not shown in the text and not available from the Kaplan-Meier figure. In the statistical analysis of 2 year freedom from severe toxicity, the study did not distinguish between patients with a single grade 3 to 5 toxicity and those with multiple grade 3 to 5 toxicities.…”
