Waves in a viscoelastic bar surrounded by soils under smooth loading

Abstract: The results of numerical solution of the nonstationary wave problem of longitudinal wave propagation in the bar-soil system are given. The bar material and the soil are assumed to be linearly viscoelastic (standard linear body). A nonlinear interaction condition is satisfied on the bar-soil contact boundary.
