Wavelet versus detrended fluctuation analysis of multifractal structures

Abstract: We perform a comparative study of applicability of the Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (MFDFA) and the Wavelet Transform Modulus Maxima (WTMM) method in proper detecting of mono-and multifractal character of data.
