Waveguide Oscillators

Abstract: Waveguide oscillators are DC‐to‐RF converters most commonly used as millimeter‐wave sources. This article describes the fundamentals of solid‐state, two‐terminal device oscillators employing waveguide circuits as resonators. Single‐device oscillators, varactor‐controlled oscillators, and waveguide resonant cavity combiners are overviewed.
