Waterborne poly(urethane-urea)s films as a sustained release system for ketoconazole

Abstract: Ketoconazole (KTZ) was incorporated in waterborne poly(urethane-urea)s dispersions (WPUU), aiming at the production of films for drug sustained release. “…The band at 1750 cm −1 belongs to the C=O stretching vibration of the ester bond, the bands at 1166 and 1086 cm −1 belong to the C-O stretch, and these bands are the characteristic peaks of the PLGA molecule. The KTZ showed the characteristic peaks of C=O stretching vibration of the carbonyl group, C=C aromatic stretching, tertiary amine groups, and C-Cl stretching at 1647 cm −1 , 1510 cm −1 , 1244 cm −1 , and 814 cm −1 respectively [46,47].
