Abstract: Kimberlite‐borne eclogite xenoliths having Precambrian oceanic crustal protoliths and entrained from ≥100 km depth can retain pristine geochemical features despite extended residence in the cratonic lithospheric mantle, making them valuable archives of deep chemical cycling including that of water.
