Double-arched tunnel is a special kind of tunnel structure which is widely adopted for shallow rock tunnels. The internal forces within a double-arched tunnel are difficult to be determined due to its special geometry and complex interactions with surrounding rock masses. This paper presents a set of analytical solutions for determining the internal forces within the lining structure of shallow double-arched tunnel subjected to symmetric external loads. The double-arched tunnel is decomposed into three main parts, i.e., the arch rings, the side walls, and the middle wall. The force method and the elastic foundation beam model are employed for the arch rings and the side walls, respectively, while the middle wall is treated as a cantilever beam fixed at the bottom. Analytical solutions for the internal forces of the three parts are derived separately, which are continuous at the conjunctions of different parts. The derived analytical solutions are verified by comparing with the FEM simulation results. Finally, parametric studies are performed to investigate the influences of burial depth, elastic resistance coefficient, opening angle, and tunnel span on the internal forces based on which some recommendations are provided for the construction and design of the double-arched tunnels. The derived analytical solutions provide fast estimations for the internal forces and deformation of the double-arched lining structures, which will be a useful tool for design optimization.

Taking the investment estimation of intelligent construction of high-speed railway as the research object, based on the historical data of investment of similar high-speed railway projects, this paper builds an explanatory structure model, establishes an system dynamic (SD) model of investment estimation of intelligent construction of high-speed railway, and puts forward suggestions for supplementing the labor value theory and improving the value-added tax. The paper carries out in-depth research and analysis in the following aspects: 1) the list of influencing factors for investment estimation of intelligent construction of high-speed railway in the feasibility study stage is constructed, and the interpretative structural model (ISM) is constructed to sort out the relationship between the influencing factors; 2) the SD model of intelligent construction cost estimation of high-speed railway is established to improve the accuracy of investment estimation of intelligent high-speed railway construction; 3) put forward suggestions and schemes for improving investment estimation content of intelligent construction of high-speed railway under high intelligence; 4) improve and supplement the labor value theory and the valueadded tax base.

In this study, we developed a tunnel excavation model test system to investigate the deformation and mechanical response of the surrounding rocks and tunnel structure during the reconstruction and expansion of an existing shallow single-hole tunnel into a twin-arch tunnel. A model test was conducted to study the variation in the ground surface settlement characteristics, surrounding rock pressure, and internal stresses of the supporting structure and midwall during the construction process. The influence of the excavation distance on displacements and structural stress between the faces of the left and right tunnels was analysed using numerical software. A comparison between the model test results and the monitoring and measurement construction results revealed a fairly consistent ground surface settlement, indicating that the system is stable and reliable and can be widely applied to laboratory model test research on tunnel excavation. Results show that the excavation of the first tunnel had a significant effect on the stability of the surrounding rock within the distance of a single-tunnel span behind the tunnel face. When the excavation distance between the two tunnels exceeded twice the length of the single-tunnel span, its effect on the stresses and deformation of the reconstructed twin-arch tunnel was negligible.
