Water advancing and receding process as a liquid–vapor interface geometrical question

Abstract: Existing wetting theories have difficulty accurately describing advancing/receding processes on micro-structured surfaces. A strategy is proposed to solve this problem by recognizing it as a liquid–vapor interface geometrical question.
