Warm $$\beta $$-exponential inflation and the swampland conjectures

Abstract: We investigate theoretical and observational aspects of a warm inflation scenario driven by the $$\beta $$ β -exponential potential, which generalizes the well-known power law inflation. In such a scenario, the decay of the inflaton field into radiation happens during the inflationary phase. In our study, we consider a dissipation coefficient ($$\varGamma $$ Γ ) with cubic dependence on the temperature (T) and investigate the consequences in t… Show more

“…Moreover, there are several papers in the literature which studied WI using some quasi-de Sitter form of scale factor, e.g., intermediate and logamediate inflation, and other non-canonical versions of field theory, e.g., tachyonic fields, in the high dissipative regime [117][118][119][120][121][122][123][124][125], while there have been also many studies involving different forms of inflaton potentials and in other interesting contexts [79,111,[126][127][128][129][130][131][132][133][134][135][136][137][138][139][140][141][142][143][144].…”

“…the slow-roll conditions obtained in cold inflation, which take into account dissipation through the parameter Q. For Q 1, the slow-roll conditions are substantially relaxed and can in principle be satisfied by scalar field potentials that would otherwise violate the standard slow-roll conditions in the cold inflation scenario [38][39][40][41].…”

“…Contrary to cold inflation, warm inflation is an interesting framework in which these conjectures could be satisfied due to the modified dynamics of inflaton field. There exists a few warm inflationary studies [61,62,[162][163][164][165][166] in this context, which show that with a strong dissipation, the energy scale of inflation is sufficiently lowered, satisfying the above conjectures. Here we discuss the status of these conjectures for our warm Higgs-G model.…”
