Warhead fragment position measurement method by using two light filed cameras

Abstract: The warhead fragments formed by projectile proximity explosion are easily occluded and coincided at the same time, it is very difficult to identify the spatial position of each warhead fragment, which will affect the analysis and research of the launching performance of weapons. To obtain dynamic parameter of each warhead fragment, this article proposes a new measurement method by using two light field cameras with micro-lens array imaging, establishes the spatial position calculation model of warhead fragment… Show more

“…However, in addition to sound waves bouncing off the wall, and the sound waves of the two trajectories will interfere with each other. If the problems related to stipulation of structure size, cost increase, and inconvenient routine maintenance of the dual light field intersection imaging [4][5][6] are not considered, it can also be used to measure the coordinates measurement of projectiles under oblique incidence [7]. Limitations of the FLS in actual engineering cannot be ignored.…”

“…Compared to other measurement methods, high-speed imaging method can effectively reduce the consumption of manpower and material resources, and improve the efficiency of parameter measurement. High-speed imaging method can be divided into indirect imaging method, CCD camera intersection target method [9,10], and fragment trajectory measurement method [11][12][13][14][15]. Indirect imaging method include impact method [16] and perforation method [17], which obtain the spatio-temporal distribution parameters of fragments by recording the moment of detonation of the warhead with a high-speed camera, and the moment when fragments hit or pass through the target, combined with the position and time of fragments reaching to the target.…”
