„Wann kommt der Retter Deutschlands?” Formen und Funktionen von politischem Messianismus in der Weimarer Republik

Abstract: Sprache macht offenkundig, auf welchen Wertvorstellungen die politische Handlungsfähigkeit und der soziale Zusammenhalt eines Gemeinwesens beruht. Neue Wortbildungen und Begriffe bringen zum Vorschein, was sich im politischen Denken einer Gesellschaft verändert. Sprache wirkt zugleich als Kraft, die politisch-soziale Veränderungen in Gang und voranbringt.
