Abstract: Lagos has been identified as one of the 50 cities most vulnerable to extreme sea levels. The state also ranked 30th among 136 port cities in terms of population exposure to flooding under a past climate scenario (2005) and 15th under a future climate scenario (2070s). The state faces significant environmental strains as a result of its geo-economic status.
