showed no hydronephrosis, 61 with mild hydronephrosis and 52 with severe hydronephrosis at 37-40 gestational weeks; In the severe group, 12 showed no hydronephrosis, 3 with mild hydronephrosis and 30 with severe hydronephrosis (χ 2 = 24.25, P = 0.00). (4) 146 kidneys of 223 still had hydronephrosis at 37-40 gestational weeks but 15 of the 146 kidneys had no hydrophosnis at 18-24 gestational weeks. Conclusions: Targeted ultrasound at 29-32 gestational weeks was useful in the detection, dynamic observation and follow-up of fetal renal pelvis dilatation, and is valuable in early detection and perinatal management of hydronephrosis.
