Vortices with a nonuniform group velocity

Abstract

An equation describing vortices produced by a spatially nonuniform upperhybrid pump wave, in an inhomogeneous plasma, is derived. The vortex group velocity is assumed to be spatially nonuniform and the consequences of this assumption are discussed.
