Voltammetric, UV–Vis Spectrometric and Fluorescence Study of the Interaction of Ractopamine and DNA with the Aid of Multivariate Curve Resolution‐Alternating Least Squares

Abstract: Interaction of a steroid drug, Ractopamine (RAC), and DNA was investigated by electroanalysis-differential pulse and cyclic voltammetry (DPV and CV), and UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. DPV showed that RAC intercalated with DNA, and CV indicated that the reaction mechanism of RAC and dsDNA involved irreversible oxidation with the loss of two H þ and a transfer of two electrons. Reaction binding parameters were obtained. Pure spectra of RAC, DNA and the RAC-DNA complex, and their concentrations were extra… Show more

“…1(F)) of free HSA and QY closely matched their measured spectra (dashed line, Fig. 1(F)), indicating that the concentration profiles were correctly resolved, 21 especially the spectrum of the interaction product, the QY-HSA complex, obtained by MCR-ALS analysis. These results therefore confirm that the formation of the QY-HSA complex and the interaction process can be monitored by the concentration changes of the three components.…”

“…Moreover, the slope of the cathodic potential (E pa ), anodic peak potential (E pc ) and formal potential (E θ ) is −0.050,–0.062 and −0.056 mV/pH respectively. The E θ slope is close to the theoretical value (−59 mV/pH) , that means a proton reversible transfer process such as electronics . The CC oxidation mechanisms at the PS‐PDEA‐PS/C 60 ‐MWCNTs is shown in Scheme .…”

“…Two electrons are involved in this process. 37 Moreover, the metal-semiconductor heterojunction well-dispersed on RGO would result in a potentially high electrochemical activity due to its combination of the high conductivity of RGO and the catalytic activity of the heterojunction.…”
