“…The SBA-15 sample with larger pores (around 6 nm) was prepared according to the following procedure. A 8-g aliquot of the triblock copolymer EO 30 PO 70 EO 70 (Pluronic P123) was dissolved in 250-mL aqueous solution containing 1.9 M HCl, at about 38 8C, under stirring during 1 ± 2 h. Tetraethoxysilane (15.95 mL) was then added to this mixture, which was allowed to react in a polypropylene flask during 24 h at 38 8C, and then 2 days at 90 8C. The resulting white solid was filtered on buchner and dried at 60 8C; it is characterized by an average particle size of about 1 ± 2 mm.…”

“…For preconcentration analyses, the working electrodes were made of carbon paste containing the organically modified silicas, and detection was performed by anodic stripping voltammetry in the differential pulse mode (50-mV modulation amplitude, 5-ms modulation time, and 50-mV s À1 scan rate). Chemically modified carbon paste electrodes were prepared as previously described [30], with carefully mixing 60% high purity graphite (Ultra F, 200 mesh, from AlfaJohnson Matthey), 30% paraffin wax (Fluka), and 10% of each grafted silica-based material. All potentials are referred to the Ag/AgCl reference electrode.…”

“…They include polymers displaying complexation centers [7 ± 9] or ion exchange properties [10,11], clays [12 ± 14], zeolites [15,16], silicas [17 ± 19] or organically modified silicas [20,21], and various chelating reagents [22 ± 28]. A great majority of these modifiers were introduced into carbon paste, which constitutes a matrix of choice to prepare electrodes chemically modified with any as-synthesized material [5], while some attempts to immobilize the reactants directly on the surface of solid electrodes were also described.…”
