Voltammetric Characteristics and Determination of Riboflavin at the Different Metallic Bulk Annular Band Electrodes

Abstract: This paper presents the report on preparation and application of the Metallic Annular Band Electrode (MeABE) for differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) determination of riboflavin (vitamin B 2 ). For the construction of electrodes, the bare metallic bismuth, silver and gold were used. The electrochemical behavior of riboflavin on MeABE has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The acetate buffer (pH 4.5) was used as the most favorable supporting electrolyte. Under optimal conditions, the peak current wa… Show more

“…The attained values of LOD and LOQ are found to be 2.679×10 −8 M and 8.932×10 −8 M, correspondingly. The proposed PTYMCNTPE surface validates a lower or nearer LOD than reported RF sensors and the comparison was shown in Table 1 [3,20, 23, 33–39] …”

“…The proposed PTYMCNTPE surface validates a lower or nearer LOD than reported RF sensors and the comparison was shown in Table 1. [3,20,23,[33][34][35][36][37][38][39] Simultaneous determination of RF and DA on BCNTPE and PTYMCNTPE Simultaneous analysis of 1.0 mM RF in the incidence of 1.0 mM DA was documented by the DPV method on BCNTPE (curve a) and PTYMCNTPE (curve b) in 0.2 M PBS of pH 6.5 at the potential window of À 0.9 to 0.5 V and the voltammetric spectra is shown in Figure 8. The PTYMCNTPE discloses a responsive and characteristic electro-oxidation peak for RF and DA at the potentials of À 0.511 V and 0.092 V, consistently.…”

“…All the voltammetric measurements were conducted in a three-electrode system consisting of a Pt wire as an auxiliary electrode, a double-junction silver-silver chloride reference electrode, and a working electrode. As the latter, Glassy Carbon Electrode (BASi, USA, surface area A = 7.1 mm 2 ), Controlled Growth Mercury Drop Electrode (CGMDE, mtm-anko, Poland, A = 1 mm 2 ), and the home-made Silver Annular Band Electrode (AgABE, A = 13.13 mm 2 [16]) were tested. For recording the voltammograms, the measurement system comprising the M161 multipurpose electrochemical analyzer, M164 electrode stand, and EAPro Software with the real-time data-acquisition feature was employed.…”

“…Due to the difficulty in voltammetric determination of aluminum and the small number of reports on this subject (without the use of toxic mercury), the bismuth electrode was subjected to further tests in order to develop a procedure for determining the trace amount of aluminum. The main important part of BiABE – bismuth tube of cylindrical shape with 2.0 mm diameter is attached on the stainless steel wire which function is to ensure electric contact . Such metallic construction is fixed in epoxy resin what can be observed in Figure .…”
