Voltametria de micropartículas imobilizadas: fundamentos e aplicações analíticas

Abstract: Recebido em 9/11/09; aceito em 17/4/10; publicado na web em 1/9/10 VOLTAMMETRY OF IMMOBILIZED MICROPARTICLES: FUNDAMENTALS AND ANALYTICAL APPLICATIONS. The theoretical aspects of Voltammetry of Immobilized Microparticles (VIM) were discussed. The immobilization of microparticles on electrode surface, the electrode cleaning processes and the electrode materials were analyzed. The three-phase electrode model and the possible reactions between the immobilized particle and the electrolytic solution were discussed.… Show more

“…In several instances, the electrochemical information can be used to obtain wider analytical information; reported applications include monitoring solid state reaction kinetics [218,219], tracing temperature profiles in fired monuments [181,208], authentication of archaeological pieces [220], and dating archaeological materials [221][222][223][224]. As recently reviewed [225], studies include applications to environmental analysis [226,227] and pharmacology, including estimation of anti-oxidative properties of vegetables [228,229]. A number of electroanalytical applications to determine analytes in solution based on electrocatalytic processes occurring carbon paste electrodes incorporating a wide variety of modifiers are known and are available in recent reviews [104][105][106][107]230].…”

“…In 1989 a technique presented by Scholz, Nitschke and Henrion [18] evaded these two problems. In this technique, microparticles of a solid compound (less than 1 μg) are transferred to an electrode by abrasion [15,18,20]. An important characteristic of this technique is the possibility of reproducible measurements with the immobilized particles, which reflects the electrochemistry of the bulk of the microparticles [15].…”

“…An important characteristic of this technique is the possibility of reproducible measurements with the immobilized particles, which reflects the electrochemistry of the bulk of the microparticles [15]. This technique was initially called abrasive stripping voltammetry (AbrSV) and then, voltammetry of immobilized microparticles (VMP) [20].…”
