Electrical power is the base and backbone of all technologies and improvements, with an increase in load in day to day life, the need for utility has also grown up tremendously so as to fulfill the load requirements. Load flow study shows an insight regarding active and reactive power on each line, voltage phase angles on each bus and voltage losses on transmission lines, cables, transformers, and entire system of a grid. Short circuit study is most needed on electrical networks in order to properly size different equipment's and devices used in a system so as to properly handle short circuit currents. Stability analysis is essential for both design and performance monitoring for reliable and efficient grid operation. In this research work a vast and detailed investigation of status and performance evaluation of power system in North East Afghanistan had been performed. Particularly performance evaluation is applied on Afghanistan’s national power grid and concentrated on Kabul super grid. Kabul super grid is deeply evaluated by its modeling and performance evaluation. Evaluation of the network is performed based upon the power losses, voltage status, transmission line loading, and harmonic study as per the power flow results.
