This study aims to analyse (1) the support system in carrying out vocational education, (2) the readiness of faculties and departments to administer vocational education and (3) the suitable implementation model of vocational education for UNNES. The research data were collected through interviews, observations and focus group discussions. The data analysis was obtained in a qualitative interactive manner using data reduction methods, data presentation and drawing conclusions, as well as verification. The results showed that the implementation of vocational education has an internal support system, namely the leadership commitment of UNNES, faculties and departments, the availability of learning facilities and infrastructure, the availability of curriculum, the availability of lecturers and educational staffs and the availability of budget. The external support systems are the link and match policy, for example, opening 100 polytechnics and accepting civil servants from the diploma programme, Universitas Negeri Semarang faculties and departments are quite ready to administer vocational education. Implementing distance learning and coaching systems at the enterprise has become a significant area of interest and exploration in recent years. This article aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the implementation of distance learning and coaching systems within the enterprise, specifically focusing on their impact on employees’ motivation. The study focuses on understanding the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating distance education and mentoring systems in the enterprise context for its employees’ motivation. Through an extensive review of existing literature, this research examines the key factors that influence the successful implementation of these systems. Organizational culture, leadership support, technological infrastructure, employee readiness, and resource availability are critical factors in effectively integrating distance learning and coaching initiatives. The article also explores the role of technology in supporting remote learning experiences and discusses strategies to enhance employee engagement and motivation in virtual environments. The study investigates the impact of distance education and coaching systems on employee knowledge acquisition, skills development, and performance improvement as components of employee motivation at the enterprise. It examines these systems’ effectiveness in learning outcomes, employee satisfaction, and organizational performance. Furthermore, the research highlights the importance of evaluation methods and standardized metrics to assess the impact accurately. In addressing the gaps and challenges identified, the article formulates practical recommendations and guidelines for organizations seeking to implement and optimize distance learning and coaching systems. These recommendations include strategies for integrating these systems into existing learning and development frameworks, leveraging technology to enhance engagement and personalization, and ensuring the quality and credibility of online learning content. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the integration of distance learning at the enterprise. Eğitim sistemlerinde mesleki eğitim farklı yaklaşımlarla kurgulanmakta olup kısa vadede en fazla beklentinin olduğu bir eğitim türünü oluşturmaktadır. Bu nedenle özellikle işgücü piyasası ile uyumunu güçlendirmek için üzerinde sürekli revizyonlar yapılmaktadır. Türkiye’de de mesleki eğitim, eğitim gündeminin sürekli ana maddelerinden birisi olmuştur. Mesleki eğitimin güçlendirilmesi için yıllardan beri çok farklı projeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Özellikle, 1990’lardan itibaren 2000’li yılların ilk onlu yılları boyunca mesleki eğitim mezunlarının yükseköğretime erişimlerini kısıtlayan katsayı uygulaması mesleki eğitimi travmalı bir döneme sokmuş, işgücü piyasası ve toplum nezdindeki algısını olumsuz etkilemiştir. Bu hasarın ortadan kaldırılması için katsayı uygulaması sonlandırılmış ve ayrıca çok sayıda adım atılmıştır. Özellikle 2018 yılı sonunda açıklanan 2023 Eğitim Vizyonu sonrasında mesleki eğitimde sorunların çözülmesi için oldukça kapsamlı ve sistematik adımlar atılmıştır. Üç yıl gibi kısa bir sürede önemli dönüşümler sağlanabilmiş ve hem işgücü piyasası hem de toplum nezdindeki algısı pozitif yönde değişmiştir. Bu çalışmada, bu dönemde yaşanan iyileştirmeler kısaca ele alındıktan sonra mesleki eğitimde yaşanan iyileştirmelerin yaygınlığını artırmak ve sürdürülebilirliğini sağlamak için Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından uygulamaya konan yeni projelerin hedefleri ve alınan mesafeler değerlendirilmektedir. Ayrıca, 2021 Mart itibarıyla açıklanan ekonomik reform paketinde mesleki eğitim merkezlerini güçlendirmek için atılacak adımlar ele alınmaktadır.
