Abstract:Pyridoxal 5´-phosphate (PLP) is the main form of vitamin B6 in animal tissue and functions as a coenzyme for more than 160 different enzymatic reactions in the metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates, lipids, and neurotransmitters.
