Visualizing statistical edutainment: What you see is what you get

Abstract: Concepts of data visualization are explored using statistics educational fun items and illustrated by sharing results from the experiment we conducted on cartoon captions.

“…Visualization has always been of critical importance in statistics, but the combination of technology advances and accessibility of large and complex data has skyrocketed its eminence in both capabilities and significance in good practice in statistics and data science, and therefore, in teaching. Just some indicators of the importance of data visualization are the number of references in the article [6], and the number of webpages with the word in a title produced by a search on the International Association for Statistical Education (IASE).
