Visual Recognition of Graphic Variants of Amharic Letters: Psycholinguistic Experiments

Abstract: One of the problems of Amharic orthography is a lack of consistency where the four Amharic sounds (/h/, /ʔ/, /s/ and /s’/) are mapped onto more than a single letter.
