Printmaking, with its technical complexity, has often been neglected in educational praxis, even though it is a discipline which contributes significantly in the developing of children`s creativity. In this work, alternative, non-toxic printmaking techniques have been presented and they are adapted to school conditions and age abilities of children. Art teacher needs to be adequately trained so he could make this art medium closer to children. Initial education teachers get at faculties has an important role in empowering their vocational competences, but a significant place in that process may also take specialized programs of professional training which leads to achieving specific knowledge and skills in printmaking. With suitable education and implementation of modern methodological aspects, teachers have an opportunity to introduce children to values of printmaking and have affirmative effect on the development of children`s art expression.

Drawing on the Programme for International Student Assessment 2003 data set comprising over 190,000 15-year-old students in 25 countries, the current study sought to examine the role of arts-related information and communication technology (ICT) use in students' problem-solving skill and science and mathematics achievement. Structural equation modeling indicated that the quality of arts-related ICT use positively predicted problem-solving skill, whereas the quantity of arts-related ICT use negatively predicted problem-solving skill. Importantly, however, there was an interaction between quality and quantity of ICT use such that the detrimental effect of the frequency of arts-related ICT use was more pronounced among students with low-quality ICT use than for those with high-and moderate quality ICT use. Analyses also showed that the effects of arts-related ICT use on achievement were primarily mediated by problem-solving skill. Findings hold educational implications for practitioners, policy makers, and researchers seeking to optimize the cognitive and academic benefits of ICT in the arts and the school more broadly.

The education system acknowledges the relevance and impact of arts in exploring students' different skills and competencies. However, most of the learners remain bias on the purpose and essence of art-based activities since most of the strands offered in senior high school are academically designed through the K-12 program, which guides and prepares incoming college students in choosing their career path. Hence, this study attempted to determine the vital role of arts-based instructional approaches to enrich students' learning in one selected catholic Senior High school in Manila, Philippines. Applying a qualitative approach through intensive interviews, 15 Health Allied students participated in this study. Results revealed that arts are highly integrated with the delivery of the different lessons of the involved strand. Moreover, arts proved that they have solid and influential roles in improving students' quality of learning. Furthermore, the impact and relevance of arts as an instructional approach supports the learning process of health allied students. Thus, this research informs and guides the teachers and students on the importance and impact of art as an overlooked field in education that maximizes one's potentials.
