Vision: Object Recognition

Abstract: Object recognition is the process whereby observers are able to recognize three‐dimensional objects despite receiving only two‐dimensional input that varies greatly depending on viewing conditions. Theories explaining this process differ in the nature of the underlying features, varying from two‐dimensional image properties to three‐dimensional parts.
