Visible Light Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue and Malachite Green Dyes with CuWO4-GO Nano Composite

Abstract: Copper Tungstate-Graphene Oxide nano composites have been successfully applied as excellent catalysts for the photocatalytic degradation with Methylene blue and Malachite green dyes under visible light irradiation. A facile solid state metathesis synthesis of copper tungstate (CuWO 4) followed by ball milling and subsequent preparation of copper tungstate-graphene oxide (CuWO 4-GO) nano composite using a colloidal blending process and its application as a visible light photocatalyst for the degradation of Mala… Show more

“…Crude experimental positioning with brief characterization was enlisted and scientifically supported in Table . FTIR spectra have been proven to contribute less toward the whole discussion, so their literature-based interpretation and commentary were moved to Supporting Information p S11 with Table S4.…”

“…During light irradiation, 2 mL of the solution was taken out at a fixed interval for UV–Vis spectroscopy. The absorbance peaks for MNZ (318 nm), TC (357 nm) and MG (618 nm) were measured using UV–visible spectroscopy, and a decrease in intensity with irradiation time was measured (Huang et al 2013 ; Medidi et al 2018 ; Saghi and Mahanpoor 2017 ). The photocatalytic degradation efficiency ( η ) was calculated using %, where, C 0 and C represent degradation of pollutant before and after irradiation at time t , respectively.…”

“…A amostra de NiO, entretanto, tende à diminuição de Eg com o aumento da temperatura do tratamento térmico [2,[13][14][15][16]. Isto pode decorrer da aproximação das partículas de NiO que possuem um raio atômico inferior e que, com o fenômeno de coalescência, cria uma rede com maior disposição de elétrons livres.…”
