Abstract: An efficient visible light-facilitated decarbon-carboxylation of activated alkenes has been successfully developed. Compared with traditional alkene carboxylation, this method features mild conditions, up to 96% yield and good compatibility with a variety of functional groups. It provides a new method for the synthesis of phenylacetic acid and its derivatives.
