Visible‐Light‐Induced C‐P‐Bond Formation Using Reduced Graphene Oxide Decorated with Copper Oxide/Zinc Oxide (rGO/CuO/ZnO) as Ternary Recyclable Nanophotocatalyst

Abstract: The reduced graphene oxide and copper oxide loaded on zinc oxide (rGO/CuO/ZnO) was successfully synthesized, fully characterized, and applied as a highly efficient reusable nano photocatalyst for the synthesis of aryl phosphonate derivatives starting from trialkyl phosphites and arylhydrazines in the presence of visible light radiation at room temperature in the air atmosphere under eco‐friendly and very mild reaction conditions without using base, oxidant, additive or ligand. Moreover, this strategy is the fi… Show more

“…Encouraged by this work, this group in 2021 synthesized and used reduced graphene oxide decorated with copper oxide/zinc oxide (rGO/CuO/ ZnO) as a heterogeneous nano-photocatalyst in cross-coupling of arylhydrazones and trialkyl phosphites under an air atmosphere. 39 It is noteworthy that the recovered rGO/CuO/ZnO nanophotocatalyst was reused for six runs without any efficiency reduction of physical and chemical stability as well as recoverability.…”

“…[34][35][36][37][38][39] In continuation of our interest in photoredox organic transformations, we decided to put ourselves in a new challenge. 33,[40][41][42] Herein, we report a photocatalytic system comprising reduced graphene oxide supported nanoparticles (NPs) of ZnS as a heterogeneous photocatalyst. We present an eco-friendly, general, and wide-scope strategy for the synthesis of benzazoles by using 1,2-phenylene disubstituted and benzylamine or benzaldehyde derivatives as the reactants at room temperature under visible light irradiation (Scheme 1b).…”
