Visible light communication based on wavelet packet division multiplexing

Abstract: We introduce wavelet packet division multiplexing (WPDM) to Light-emitting diodes (LED)-based optical wireless communication systems. We first review the WPDM fundamental knowledge, and then provide a LED communication system diagram based on WPDM. Then, we evaluate the performance of the WPDM-based LED communication system, and compare it with the DC biased optical OFDM (DCO-OFDM)-based communication system.
