Vis spectroscopy and CIELAB parameters of six wood species of the Fabaceae family marketed in the Brazilian Amazon

Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of colorimetry to characterize six species of the Fabaceae family. Wood samples were collected in extractivist communities in the Green Forever Extractivist Reserve in Pará state, Brazil. Color data were obtained randomly on the three anatomical sections, along with reflectance spectra in the range of 360 to 740 nm. All analyses were carried out with the R software.
