Virus-associated lung disease

Abstract: In recent years, viral infections were characterized by marked pneumotropic effect associated with the development of pneumonia, which is the leading cause of death from infectious diseases. Viral infections can cause various systemic disorders, although lower respiratory tract complications remain the most common and severe manifestations. The authors review the results of the studies in patients with virus-associated pneumonia, including clinical manifestations, treatment methods and their effectiveness.
