Abstract

The objective of the research is to define and establish an optimal documentation methodology applicable to any field of study associated with an existing object, fundamentally tangible cultural heritage (architecture, archeology, sculpture, geology, ...), with a view to making it possible to obtain three-dimensional models of a great geometric and radiometric precision of the documented objects. These models will serve in a different way to satisfy the main objectives of each project. Initially, mention will be made of some of the existing lifting techniques, both modern and traditional, to assess their advantages and disadvantages.Laser scanning and digital photogrammetry allow these high-precision three-dimensional models to be obtained, the processing of which will allow obtaining documentation with a high metric and geometric definition of the object.On the other hand, thanks to the existence of new dissemination tools through the web, and to new display devices, we will be able to generate new, very valuable information from the three-dimensional models obtained with photogrammetry.
