Virtual Memory Systems Should use Larger Pages

Abstract: Abstract. We explore the question what the best page size for Virtual Memory is. This paper argues that the main reason to prefer a larger page is to increase the virtual to physical translation time. To be exact -in order to increase the TLB coverage, larger pages must be used.
