Objective This study aimed to systematically review and assess educational YouTube videos on neurological examination. Methods YouTube was screened for educational videos on neurological examination. A scoring system (involving five major and six minor criteria) was used to assess videos. Educationally useful videos were defined as those satisfying all major criteria and at least three minor criteria; 2 points were allocated for each major criterion and 1 point for each minor criterion, thereby using a score of 13 as a threshold. Results A total of 500 videos were screened, and 128 videos were included in the final selection procedure. Only 55 videos were deemed as educationally useful; 13 of these videos focused on the general neurological examination, 10 on cranial nerves, 11 on the upper limb, five on the lower limb, three on reflexes, one on upper and lower limbs, one on gait, and 11 were in the form of lectures. Six (46.15%) of the educationally useful videos about general neurological exams, including the top three videos, were created by academic institutions, and three (23.07%) were book-related. Educationally useful videos were not the most viewed videos. None of the analyzed videos included the evaluation of the autonomic nervous system in the physical examination routine. Conclusions YouTube is an increasingly common source of educational videos for medical students. However, videos found on YouTube are not peer-reviewed and may be inaccurate, and the preponderance of videos available on the platform makes it difficult for students and educators to find good educational material. We provide a list of URLs of educationally useful videos for students and educators in neurology and offer suggestions for the creation of high-quality educational videos.

Background: Although training in palliative care (PC) is increasingly frequent in medical schools, some barriers still hamper the design and implementation of effective educational programs. Information Technology-based distance learning (IT-DL) might contribute to the development of appropriate knowledge on PC in students, but it is still not clear how to best develop such curricula and how to deliver methodologically sound learning activities, allowing students to work on the complex skills required in PC. Objectives: To describe how internet-based education can be used in undergraduate medical PC education, in terms of realist theorization. Design: A realist review was carried out, producing a framework – or, in the terms of a realist review, a theory – focusing on finding out what might work, for whom, and in which circumstances, describing these variables in terms of Contexts, Mechanism, and Outcomes. Methods: An international group of experts of PC education assessed the relevance and pertinence of 256 articles resulting from systematic retrieval of literature and expert suggestions. Results: The final synthesis, mainly informed by the 43 articles rated as most relevant, is presented in propositions regarding three groups: (1) Educational theory, where (a) Cognitivism (learning as an increase in knowledge); (b) Constructivism (learning as a social, cultural, and negotiated process); and (c) Behaviorism (learning as an observable modification of behaviors) appear to be consistent with the learning outcome of PC. (2) Desired effect of the technology, suggesting the simple use of IT-DL is not an additional value per se, as it should overcome objective limits set for face-to-face activities. (3) Contextualization and duration of the curricular activity, suggesting PC training activities should be included in an organic and legitimate way in the overall curriculum. Conclusion: This field is expected to experience huge growth soon, and present and future research could use a realist approach like the one here presented to make sense of all the different variables involved.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has immense power to set up an ideal health ecosystem through "intelligent medicine" i.e., a combination of human and machine intelligence. However, the application of AI in healthcare is still unclear. Currently, India is facing huge challenges such as the scarcity of medical resources and the uneven distribution of medical services. This also highlights the opportunities linked to challenges and risks. The most recent pandemic has accelerated this process by acknowledging that medicine stands on the brink of an AI revolution. Incorporating the evidence on the role of precision medicine, cost-effective healthcare, and expanding humanistic and medical services, this paper demonstrates the digital health interventions for the "enhancement" of capabilities, "efficiency," "extension of services" and upgrading "experience" in the health sector. Through thorough literature searches from PubMed, Google Scholar, and other reliable sources, this study aims to understand the evolving needs, and greater control and to bridge gaps in access to healthcare through AI. Also, India is currently developing the potential to automate multiple tasks and calling for more human interventions. The future of AI in healthcare looks promising with digital health interventions that eventually offer flexibility and convenience to both the patient and the provider. This paper will help public health professionals address ethical considerations and policy-making where AI plays a significant role in setting up an ideal health ecosystem.
