Abstract:SynopsisUsing dead end polymerization procedures, the copolymerization of vinylchloride-vinyl acetate was studied in laboratory scale reactors. Predictive kinetic models based on modified Hamielec equations were developed which were valid up to the limit of the experiments, 35%conversion. The efficiency factor Cf, for the t-butylperneodecanoate initiator was determined for a range of initiator concentrations in a comonomer mixture.
