Abstract:Vibration of a rotating elastic connection disc subjected to a transmitted torque is investigated by including the initial unstressed transverse runout of the disc, the axial displacement, and deflection angles between the inner and outer clamped edges due to machining and installation errors in real discs. The governing equation of the connection disc is discretized by Galerkin's method, and natural frequency, dynamic stability, resonance condition, and steady-state deflections are calculated. Excluding the p… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
