Vibration of rotating elastic connection disc

Abstract: Vibration of a rotating elastic connection disc subjected to a transmitted torque is investigated by including the initial unstressed transverse runout of the disc, the axial displacement, and deflection angles between the inner and outer clamped edges due to machining and installation errors in real discs. The governing equation of the connection disc is discretized by Galerkin's method, and natural frequency, dynamic stability, resonance condition, and steady-state deflections are calculated.
