Vibration Modes and Resonant Frequencies of a New Tuning Fork with 4 Vibrating Arms

Abstract: By laser selective excitation of the 3s3p 'Py level of M g i the Rydberg series 3s3p 'Py-3snd 'D, has been recorded in absorption up to n = 24, showing strong perturbation by the 3pz 'D, term. The 3s3p 'P';-3pz ' S o autoionizing transition has been located at 1300.9 nm.
