Viable stretchable plasmonics based on unidirectional nanoprisms

Abstract: Well-defined ordered arrays of plasmonic nanostructures were fabricated on stretchable substrates and tunable plasmon-coupling-based sensing properties were comprehensively demonstrated upon extension and contraction. Regular nanoprism patterns consisting of Ag, Au and Ag/Au bilayers were constructed on the stretchable polydimethylsiloxane substrate. The nanoprisms had the same orientation over the entire substrate (3 × 3 cm) via metal deposition on a single-crystal microparticle monolayer assembly. The plasmo… Show more

“…Advantages of this system are that a certain phase can be used as a stable Fig. 3 Schematic illustration of current various types of substrates for SERS detection [25,39,[105][106][107][108][109][110][111][112][113] internal standard to improve signal accuracy and realize the multiple detections of pesticides from two liquid phases [114]. While for solid substrate, achieving reasonable control of the distribution of hot spots and the location of target molecules is easy to come true, consequently exhibiting an elevated reproducibility.…”
