“…It has been claimed in previous studies [9,12] that vertigo is twice as common in females then males, but the gender distribution for vertigo after trauma and vestibular neuritis is about equal. Hara et al [13] surveyed patients with vestibular neuritis and found no gender difference in the rate of recurrence of vertigo. As a result, we would not recommend adopting gender as one of the predictors when screening for vertigo.…”
