Vertrauen ist gut …

Abstract: Zusammenfassung. Show more

“…Second, we examined the relationship to SMMs measured through situational subscales of the questionnaire SMMTSQ [ 30 ]. For criterial validity, we examined a questionnaire assessing team trust [ 55 , 56 ]. Contrary to our hypotheses predicting only minor correlations, we found no correlations.…”

“…Trust is assessed by measuring the perceived trustworthiness of the partner in terms of ability, benevolence, and integrity. The original trustworthiness measurement was developed for trust in management [ 54 ] and has been validated successfully in sport [ 55 ]. We used an adapted short version with three items for ability (e.g., My tennis partner is very competent in executing her or his tasks), three for benevolence (e.g., My tennis partner is very concerned about my welfare), and three for integrity (e.g., My tennis partner has a strong sense of justice).…”

“…We decided to use the same measurement instruments as in the validation of the long scale with an exception for the trust scale, which showed poor internal consistency (< .4) in the study of Hossiep et al (2021). We measured trust by an eleven-item scale presented by Gillespie (2003); trustworthiness (ability, benevolence, integrity) was measured by 15 items by Dreiskämper et al (2016); job satisfaction was measured by four items by Thompson and Phua (2012) and transparency was measured by the ten items selected before. All constructs were measured on five-point Likert scales.…”

“…Mayer and Davis trust scales were used (Mayer et al, 1995;Mayer & Davis, 1999) to ensure easy comparison with earlier research. In addition, the three dimensions of "integrity", "competence", and "benevolence" from Mayer and Davis were shortened by Dreiskämper et al (2016) to account for the motorboat scenario.…”
