“…The overlaying subdivision of the Hyperodapedon AZ is characterized by a substantial decrease of Hyperodapedon records and the overwhelming occurrence of Exaeretodon Historical Biology 7 ). In the Ischigualasto Formation, this event was quantified by Martínez et al (2012b) with a decrease that eventually resulted in the disappearance of Hyperodapedon ( ¼ Schaphonyx) from lower to upper levels of the Argentinean unit.
