Versorgung der Schultereckgelenksprengung mittels akromioklavikulärer und korakoklavikulärer FiberWire®-Cerclage

Abstract: This procedure for an exact anatomic AC joint reconstruction shows good objective results with a high Constant and Rowe scores for shoulder function. Postoperative ossifications of the AC joint ligaments are common, but seem to have no influence on the clinical results.

“…CC ossification has been reported in 15% to 56% of patients at midterm followup, although it has not been shown to cause functional limitations. 13,70,76 Postoperative rehabilitation Patients are immobilized in a sling or brace for 6 to 8 weeks. Examples of suitable braces include the Gunslinger Shoulder Orthosis (Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics Inc, Betheseda, MA) and the Lerman Shoulder Brace (DJO Inc, Vista, CA).…”

“…Regarding posttraumatic ossification, we cannot confirm the high rates described by Rehbein et al [29]. They published a report concerning transosseal acromioclavicular and coracoclavicular FiberWire cerclage for the treatment of acute acromioclavicular dislocation.…”

“…Fibers such as Ultrabraid do not seem to suffer from this migration and have been used successfully in AC joint reconstructions. [10] AC surgery has also been found to suffer higher rates of post-traumatic arthritis. By avoiding penetrating the articular cartilage and using a small distal clavicle excision, we hope this will be limited.…”
