Introduction: Exposure to interparental violence is a type of child maltreatment linked to a higher risk of physical and mental health problems. This research considers the experiences of young Portuguese children exposed to interparental violence. The goal is to explore the associations between interparental conflict in children, their perceptions of conflict properties, threat, self-blame, and the relationship with their parents. Method: The research protocol was applied to 888 Portuguese children between 7 and 9 years of age, of whom 123 are victims of interparental violence. Results: The results showed that witnessing interparental conflict is positively correlated with children’s self-blame and insight into conflict properties and negatively correlated with children’s insight into the parent-child relationship. Conclusion: These results provide strong support for the hypothesis that witnessing interparental conflict is associated with adverse outcomes in young children. Findings highlight the importance of identifying children exposed to interparental conflict in order to develop appropriate intervention programmes.

O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar o programa de atendimento às mulheres e seus filhos, vítimas da violência doméstica e/ou intrafamiliar, considerando as representações sociais dos executores da rede pública de atendimento do município de Viçosa/MG. Para atingir o objetivo proposto, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa, com caráter descritivo e explicativo. A unidade de análise foi formada por três instituições de atendimento localizadas no município de Viçosa/MG, que desenvolvem ações individualizadas ao público vitimizado e que pertencem à rede de enfrentamento à violência contra a mulher, prevista no Protocolo Municipal de Atenção às Mulheres em Situação de Violência Familiar. A pesquisa foi realizada em três momentos. A primeira etapa iniciou-se com a revisão sistemática, visando compreender como a vulnerabilidade infanto-juvenil pela exposição à violência doméstica e/ou intrafamiliar está sendo abordada e examinar como tem sido as ações de atendimento ao público vitimizado. Para tanto, foram pesquisadas as contribuições acadêmicas realizadas no período de 2010 a 2022, considerando as bases de dados da Web of Science, BVS (Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde), Science Direct; tendo como descritores: family violence, victims, exposure violence, children, domestic violence, women. Foi utilizado como critério de inclusão, artigos sobre a violência doméstica/intrafamiliar contra a mulher, que analisavam medidas e ações voltadas tanto para mulheres/mães quanto para crianças e adolescentes/filhos. Na segunda etapa foi realizada uma pesquisa documental, referente aos atendimentos prestados pelas instituições, com o objetivo de compreender seus protocolos de atendimentos. Por fim, na terceira fase, foram coletados os dados primários, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada aplicada a 17 profissionais das instituições selecionadas. Na análise dos resultados, foi utilizado a análise de conteúdo, com o auxílio do software Start, VOS e do IRaMuTeQ, para organização e interpretação dos dados. Como suporte teórico para a análise e compreensão dos resultados, foi feito uso da Teoria do Programa e da metodologia do Modelo Lógico. Com os resultados foi possível evidenciar que existem poucos registros de produção científica acerca do atendimento de mães e filhos vítimas de violência no ambiente familiar. Reconhece-se que há necessidade de um trabalho em rede, entre as instituições de atendimento do município, com o intuito de atender a todos os envolvidos no ciclo de violência, incluindo os filhos das vítimas. Vê-se que faltam infraestrutura e profissionais capacitados para o atendimento às vítimas, o que ocasiona descontinuidade nas intervenções planejadas e baixa integração entre as instituições existentes. Como contribuição, apresentou-se um modelo de política pública de enfrentamento à violência doméstica e/ou intrafamiliar através da reestruturação da política existente, por meio de um sistema integrado entre a rede de apoio, com o envolvimento da saúde, justiça, assistência social e educação.
