“…A 61‐year‐old man presented with a large erythematous verrucous plaque encompassing the left upper eyelid, medial canthus, malar eminence, and left lower eyelid resulting in cicatricial ectropion (Figure A). He had the lesion surgically excised elsewhere twice in the past, and after repeat biopsy, the lesion was confirmed as a verrucous carcinoma, which may rarely involve the eyelids . After consideration of treatment options that included radiation therapy, he elected to undergo Mohs micrographic surgery, which after five stages, yielded an extensive (67 × 82 mm) residual periorbital defect that included a full‐thickness lower eyelid and canalicular defect (Figure B).…”
