A 57-year-old man underwent enucleation of the left eye for a choroidal melanoma, and a coralline hydroxyapatite ocular implant was inserted. Because of the development of hepatic lesions approximately 2 years later, bone scintigraphy was performed to detect bone metastases. The patient reported a 10-day yellow-green discharge from the left eye. Tc-99m HMDP bone scintigraphy (whole-body and lateral planar images) showed left orbital tracer accumulation. The recent hybrid SPECT-CT modality allowed confirming the localization of tracer accumulation. There was focal accumulation at the site of the implant without any sign of a local malignant lesion or orbital infection.
