“…The altemative explanation is that there is some obliteration of the lumen and that the normal resting flow is the result of a well-developed anastomotic circulaion. Biopsy of a non-pulsatile ulnar artery in a case of the 86 Gronblad-Strandberg syndrome (Scheie and Freeman, 1946) suggests that both factors may play a part. The lumen of the vessel was found to be smaller than normal but it was not occluded.…”
