Abstract:Background
Diffusion measurements in brain tissue may reveal various diffusion regimes reflecting different microstructural topologies, ranging from fast blood circulation, intermediate diffusion in wider interstitial spaces, to highly restricted inter‐ and intra‐cellular diffusion. Intravoxel incoherent motion MRI can detect an intermediate diffusion component, which is thought to be a proxy of brain tissue damage. This intermediate component might be relevant for studying amyloid clearance pathways, but curr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
