Abstract:The structure, thermodynamic parameters, and the character of thermal motion in octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) were investigated using the combination of experimental (single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermochemistry) and theoretical (density functional theory calculations, ab initio molecular dynamics and metadynamics) methods.
